Notifications occur two ways in BlueSky Meeting. First they occur through our email system. Email notifications are sent out during a variety of actions in BlueSky with some even being optional. Notifications also appear in the upper right hand corner of the BlueSky page with a bell icon.
Notifications by email and in the application occur based on roles or permissions for their specific meeting groups.
Notifications may be marked read and unread within the BlueSky application by clicking the circle next to the notification. An open circle indicates that the notification has been read, a filled in circle indicates that the notification has not been read. Any unread notification will cause the notifications icon to indicate unread notifications with a badge.
Types of Notifications
BlueSky Notifications come in for a variety of reasons but we have classified them into a handful of categories.
- Blog Posts - Blog post notifications are sent when we post articles that might be interesting to you and your meeting participants. We are a meeting company and like to consider ourselves meeting professionals, we want to pass our knowledge off to you.
- Meeting - Meetings send notifications for certain activities such as when they are created and when items are progressed through different stages. Some of these notifications can be enabled and disabled at the meeting level.
- System - System notifications are issued to users when system outages or activities impact them.
- Task - Task notifications are sent when a user has a task that they need to attend to such as approving an agenda.
